Colorful Crosswalks Bring Art to the Public

Last Saturday, under the leadership of SBHS Senior Ali Barritt and in collaboration with City Hall, students began painting crosswalks in the City.

The first locations to be painted are at the SB High School front entrance. Two crosswalks were painted—one a water scene with fish, water flowers and lily pads; and the other a geometric design of the mountains at sunrise. Both were designed by current students.

The next location will be in City Center at the University Mall, near Kohl's and Hannaford's. Stay tuned for more on this!

Thanks all for the great lift to an otherwise drab area of pavement! We love the bright, up-lifting colors and the depictions of what you associate with South Burlington! Outstanding!
