Soccer Season Finishes Strong!

We didn’t know whether we were going to be able to host a soccer league this season back in June. However, with some token SBRP ingenuity, we were able to fit the puzzles pieces together to create a safe and fun environment for all to enjoy.

Soccer has been a staple of our programming for years, and we are excited that we were able to continue this Saturday Morning tradition.

Thank you to everyone who participated, refereed, coached, watched and cheered! You made this season one to remember!

We had over 190 participants scattered throughout 4 hours on Saturday mornings from September 12th-October 17th. Our mornings were exciting as we prepped for temperature checks, participant health screenings, and field setups. We were very cautious about ensuring our games stayed separated on the fields and everyone remained distanced. We took extra measures with pod sizes and separation. We worked with the Vermont Health Department on what steps we needed to take to ensure all participants and spectators were in a safe position to have fun.

And once they were safe, the fun could begin! Seeing kids run around a soccer field never gets old. Hearing the laughter, seeing the smiles, smelling the fresh cut grass (THANK YOU JOE!) makes every ounce of preperation worth it. We are so appreciative of everyone’s gratitude for the season – your kind words mean so much to all of us.

We look forward to a new season next year! Keep your eyes peeled for registration in August 2021!
