Change of Season Doesn't Mean Change of Pandemic Protocols; Please Do Your Part

As the pandemic marches on, please remember that we need to be ever diligent in keeping safe as we use our parks, pathways and outdoor spaces. To ensure that these opportunities and amenities remain open and accessible, we are asking that you please adhere to these three simple rules:  1) Wear a mask  2) Leash dogs at all times 3) Keep a 6 foot physical distance.

You will notice that we have put up new park signage to alert patrons of these simple rules and are hopeful that the new look will bring attention and provide a reminder for everyone to do their part. We will do our best to manage these signs and keep them in prominent places even as the snow falls, so thank you in advance for leaving them where you find them.

As the cold weather hits, we will be removing the hand sanitizer jugs from their stations at the playground areas as the plastic is too fragile to withstand the cold temperatures that are headed our way.  Please be prepared when you visit the parks that amenities have been put away for the season, so you will find limited trash receptacles during the winter “pack in pack out season”.

We will be updating the community with additional outdoor recreation offerings as the snow flies and turns our fields into winter wonderlands for exploration.  We are looking to coordinate snowshoe walks, cross country skiing demos, snowman building and even a winter lights display in the coming months, so stay tuned to our social media outlets and check our website to learn more.
