Multiple Copies for Book Groups

The following fiction and non-fiction books are available for book discussion groups in sets of multiple copies. The book sets are available for pick up by local librarians, reading groups, individual patrons and their families.

If you are a librarian or an individual borrower picking up a book set in person on behalf of a reading group, there is no fee, and you may reserve one or two titles in advance.   Please specify the number of copies needed and the discussion date, so that we can determine the appropriate pick up and due dates.  Please be aware that if a book set is reserved for use by the South Burlington Community Library, or on loan to another user, the books may not be available at a particular time for use by your group.

All requests for book sets to be delivered from the South Burlington Community Library to another library through the Inter-Library Loan (ILL) process must be submitted by a librarian on behalf of their patron. Individual borrowers should inquire at their home library about obtaining this service. If you are requesting a book through ILL, please reserve it 2 months or more in advance of when you need to distribute it.  Also, specify your discussion date so that we can send the book two weeks or more in advance, and give you a due date which is 2 weeks after your meeting.  When you request a book set, we will inform you if another group has already reserved it for that time period. Reserves are limited to two sets at a time.

Whether borrowing in person or through ILL, you will be charged a replacement fee for any lost or damaged copies, and this must be paid before your Library or reading group can borrow another set of books.

Book Groups, Take Note …When you select a title from the Library’s list of book sets available on loan to your reading club, you can directly link to an online study guide or background information about the book. Just click on any of the titles below.
