The South Burlington Police Department takes identity theft very seriously and will pursue all avenues to bring those perpetrating such crimes to justice. Prior to meeting with an officer, please complete an "Identity Crime Incident Detail Form." This form will assist both you and the officer assess the scope of the actual identity breach.
The Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov/idtheft) provides volumes of information on identity theft, preventing identity theft, and steps to take if you believe your identity has been stolen.
