Sgt. Dennis Ward

Sergeant Ward has been with the South Burlington Police Department for 22 years and has served as a Patrol Supervisor, a detective with the Bureau of Investigations and in the Traffic Safety Unit.  Sgt. Ward transferred to Youth Services in spring of 2018.  Sgt. Ward is currently assigned to the Tuttle Middle School and SBHS.  Sgt. Ward is a certified D.A.R.E. Instructor and teaches at the Middle School.  Sgt. Ward’s favorite thing is spending time with his family and working out. He loves his work in the schools where he gets a chance to meet with new kids and build positive relationships with them.

Cpl. Brianne Williamson
Cpl. Brianne Williamson


Cpl. Williamson has been with the South Burlington Police Department for 11 years come February 2021.  Cpl. Williamson worked in Patrol before transferring to Youth Services in 2018.  Cpl. Williamson is currently assigned to the three Elementary Schools.  Cpl. Williamson teaches D.A.R.E. to the Fifth graders and works to build an inclusive community for the kids at school.  Cpl. Williamson has been heavily involved with the partnership between the Law Enforcement Torch Run and Special Olympics Vermont.
