R.A.D. SYSTEMS
The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D. Instructors and provide each student with a workbook/reference manual. This manual outlines the entire Physical Defense Program for reference and continuous personal growth, and is the key to our free lifetime return and practice policy for R.A.D. graduates. www.rad-systems.com
R.A.D. in South Burlington
The South Burlington Police Department currently employs several police officers who are nationally certified R.A.D. instructors. In addition to those officers, there are several civilian volunteers who are also certified R.A.D. instructors. Police officers from neighboring agencies also help instruct classes. Classes are held several times throughout the year in South Burlington. These classes are for women only and are offered FREE of charge for any woman 14 years of age or older. Women do not need to be South Burlington residents in order to attend classes. Mothers and daughters are encouraged to attend together.
- R.A.D. courses consist of 12 hours of instruction held over four days. This program is FREE OF CHARGE!
- This course will be instructed by South Burlington Police Officers who are nationally certified R.A.D. Instructors.
- Each student will be provided a workbook/reference manual that outlines the entire Physical Defense Program for reference and continuous personal growth, and is the key to our free lifetime return and practice policy for R.A.D. graduates.
- The R.A.D. system empowers women to make their own decisions regarding self-preservation.
