Safe Routes to School - SRTS Task Force

The South Burlington Safe Routes to School Task Force is a task-oriented body created for the purpose of the City of South Burlington and South Burlington School District to work together to improve conditions and opportunity for safer walking, biking and rolling to community schools.

Meetings are facilitated by Local Motion, Vermont's only statewide walking and biking advocacy organization and coordinator of Vermont's statewide Safe Routes to School program.

This group first met in December 2023. The Task Force organizational framework is currently in development and details will be forthcoming soon. In the meantime, the group has been engaged in initiatives related to the above scope of work. Meetings are noticed to the public, and are open to all.
