City Council Opening

The South Burlington City Council has an immediate opening for a City Councilor to serve through Town Meeting Day 2024. The Council serves as the legislative body of the City and is responsible for passing ordinances, approving a budget for the voters to consider, and, in the next few months, adopting an eight-year City Plan.

Interested applicants must:

• Submit a statement of their intent to serve on the Council to City Manager Jessie Baker at jbaker@southburlingtonvt.gov by Tuesday, October 24
• Participate in interviews on Wednesday,  Thursday, or Friday, October 25 through 27
• Start immediately following the Council’s October 30 meeting
• Attend City Council meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month and other meetings as scheduled
