GET A LIBRARY CARD
Any legal resident of South Burlington over the age of five may obtain a resident library card which also serves as a homecard. Non-residents (outside of the homecard system) and temporary residents may obtain cards valid only at the South Burlington Community Library for a fee of $10 per year. Children 16 years and under must have a parental signature on their registration form.
Most items may be checked out for three weeks and may be renewed up to three times provided no one is waiting for the item. Patrons may call the Library at 652-7080 to renew. You may also renew your checked-out items through this website. These instructions will help you through the process.
Bestseller/Reserve books may be checked out for two weeks and accrue a $1 per day service charge if not returned by the due date. No renewals.
For your convenience, a short grace period after the due date will be in effect before a $2 overdue fine is charged. Please help the Library to cut postage and personnel expenditures by taking responsibility for getting your library materials back on time. Check the due date on your receipt. Renewals can be made by phone. You may also renew online. These instructions will help you through the process.
If you need assistance to download from Green Mountain Library Consortium, (Listen up Vermont), we are here to help! You can reserve a tutoring session with a librarian to learn how to download free e-books from the Library.
Bring your own device or see a demonstration. Files are offered in several formats that work for many devices. The South Burlington Community Library has devices available for checkout. You may request to have up to 3 additional titles borrowed through your Listen Up! Vermont account. To make an appointment for a one-hour session, please contact Barbara Ziemann, Public Service Librarian, at 652-7080. You may also email Barbara at email@example.com. Please bring your South Burlington Community Library card with you to your appointment.
