SB Fire Department Responds to Garage Fire

On December 23, during the worst of the storm, the Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a garage fire.  Engine 1, Engine 2, Ambulance 2, and Car 3 quickly responded through some treacherous road conditions. Within a few minutes, Engine 2 arrived and was met by homeowners reporting a fire inside their garage. Engine 2 made entry to find the contents inside the garage on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished, and the house was ventilated. UVM Rescue and Vermont Air National Guard FD also responded to assist our team. The cause of the fire was inappropriate disposal of smoking materials.
