We want to celebrate your baby with the long-standing tradition of a Library book dedication. Created by the Library’s first Children’s Librarian, Marje VonOhlsen, and discontinued when we moved to the mall, our baby book dedication tradition is back! As one mother told us, “I loved the baby brunch events. I met other parents and dedicated books in my sons’ names. They would look for the books every time they visited the library. Now they are in their 20’s!”
If you have a child born between January 2020 and December 2022, please register in the Kidspace at the Library. We will put a bookplate with your baby's name and birthdate (as you would like it to appear) in a new book from the picture book collection.
Registered adults will receive an invitation to our Baby Brunch where families can meet and check out the dedicated books. Refreshments will be served, and a group photo of each year's babies will be taken and shared with families.
