Seeking Volunteers for Planning Commission & Development Review Board

Looking to serve your community? Have an interest in helping to shape our future? We are looking for volunteers to serve on the City’s Planning Commission and Development Review Board.


Development Review Board (DRB) 
 
OPEN POSITONS:   1 

The DRB is responsible for reviewing applications for land development and making determinations on compliance with the City’s Land Development Regulations. The City strives for a Board representing a variety of perspectives and backgrounds, including experience with architecture and engineering, construction, natural resources, transportation, land use law, and/or broad knowledge of the community. Experience reading engineering or architectural drawings is encouraged. Meets on 1st and 3rd Tuesday each month with occasional supplemental meetings and modified dates. The opening is to fill a current vacancy.

Planning Commission                   
OPEN POSITONS:   1 or more

The Planning Commission is responsible for developing the City’s long-range Comprehensive Plan, determining how to regulate land use and development through updates to the City’s Land Development Regulations, and undertaking long range planning studies for the community. Knowledge or strong interest in community development, social engagement, land use, economics, housing, transportation, public health, natural resources, the ways in which people and communities interact is encouraged. Meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month with occasional supplemental meetings and modified dates, and assignments to special working groups. The opening is to fill one or more current vacancies.
