Recruit Class 23-2 Live Burn Day
The final portion of our newest recruit academy was held this week at the Vermont Fire Academy. The live burn day gives our newest members the chance to refine basic skills under a high heat and smoke environment.
The day started off with a fire behavior demonstration from Chief Collette of Williston Fire Department. Thank you Chief!

- Locating and confining a fire to the room of origin.
- Deploying hose lines to multiple locations within a building.
- Search and rescue
- Pump and Hydrant Operations
- Efficient suppression techniques within a building.
Overall, the day was a productive team building training.
