Dog Park Public Forum and Survey

It's estimated that more than 7000* dogs live in the City with only one (1) designated off-leash dog park located at Farrell Park on Swift Street. Much like South Burlington’s human population growth, it’s expected that the number of dogs will continue to increase. To help alleviate the various issues that arise from an increasing dog population in a growing city, the SoBu City Council is looking to add more dog parks.

They have charged the Dog Park Committee to provide a recommendation for location to site dog parks. Both the a public forum and a survey are intended to identify the public's needs and priorities for current and future dog parks. The input gathered will inform the South Burlington Dog Park Committee as it prepares recommendations for City Council consideration. Whether you’re a dog owner or not, we need your input.

Please join us at the South Burlington Police Department to discuss dog parks within the city. Your input is valid and wants to be heard.
