Halloween Events 2020

As expected, our Halloween Spooktacular events will look a little different this year.  We are working with new health and safety guidelines, restrictions on social gatherings, the loss of SBSD indoor facility usage and the need to remain fiscally responsible.  That being said, we are excited to present a series of engaging activities that community members of all ages can enjoy.  We look forward to your participation.

We’ll kick off our Spooktacular Weekend with a Night Hike at the Wheeler Nature Trails on Friday October 23rd.  This short hike will take us through the woods and open fields as we enjoy the sights and sounds of the great outdoors at night.  On Saturday (Oct 24th) we will host our annual Pumpkin Carving event at noon under our tents in the City Hall front parking lot.  You’ll supply the pumpkins; we’ll provide the tools and take care of the mess!  Later in the afternoon we’ll move up to Veterans Memorial Park for Bundle-up-Bingo.  Be sure to pack a picnic and join us in front of the band shell at 2:30 pm.

New for 2020:

Our community Glow Walk will take place Friday Oct 30th, the night before Halloween.  We will be decorating the path around the pond on Market Street with lots of lights and Halloween themed lawn inflatables.  This short stroll around the retention pond is appropriate for all ages.  There will also be a vendor selling hot chocolate.

We also have a Community Decorating Contest taking place.  Categories include both residential and commercial.  There is no fee to enter and a fun prize along with bragging rights could be yours.  Call us at 846.4108 to sign up.  Judging will be done by SBRP staff on Thursday Oct 29th for all those who have registered.

Join in the fun!
