On Thursday evening our Director Holly and Recreation Specialist Brett toured the city checking out all of the displays by those who entered our Halloween Decorating Contest. It may have been a wet, dreary evening but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit.
The Decorating Contest was just one of the several Halloween events that took place over the past week. Other activities included a Not-so-Scary Night Hike at Wheeler Nature Park, Community Pumpkin Carving, Bundle-up-Bingo at the band shell and the Glow Walk around the stormwater pond on Market Street. Without access to the schools during this era of COVID-19, the recreation department is left without any indoor facilities to program. Along with some virtual programing, we have done our best to keep everyone engaged and enjoying the parks and outdoor amenities that SBRP have to offer.
