PUBLIC HEARING: Zoning Amendments

PUBLIC HEARING on December 7, 7:30 pm

The City Council will holding a public hearing to consider a handful of amendments to the City’s Land Development Regulations. The amendments were proposed by the City’s Planning Commission after a public hearing of their own. Following this public hearing, the City Council may adopt the changes to the Regulations.

The amendments include:

  • An allowance to increase the total lot coverage on parcels along Shelburne Road and a portion of Williston Road by Kennedy Drive by ten percentage point if either a small private or public “civic space” parklet is installed on site or the applicant purchases Transferable Development Rights conserving land in certain parts of the City
  • New options and changes to standards for the design of required “civic spaces” associated with development in the City Center Form Based Code District
  • Eliminating the requirement for paper copies of applications to the submitted to the City
