It was a magical day as staff festively dressed and headed to the park to distribute holiday meals and goodie bags to our 120 registered seniors. In addition to the nutritious meal provided by AgeWell, we also handed out good cheer with stuffed to the brim goodies bags; though the real treat was seeing the smiles on faces of those who participated and joined us as we “honked for the holidays”.
Connecting with our community, though distanced, masked and through windows brought joy to us all. An impromptu snow squall added to the magic of the event and hearts and hands were warmed by the donation of hot chocolate by one of the participants. We are so thankful to have seen you all and will hold you close to our hearts as the holiday season continues. We look forward to future opportunities to provide programming and eagerly look forward sharing in the same space just as soon as it is healthy and safe for us to do so.
