Council Appoints City Manager Search Committee

The City Council has appointed a committee to review applications for the position of City Manager.  Current City Manager Kevin Dorn will be retiring from the position on June 30th of this year.  The Council hopes to have a new Manager named well before that date to allow for a smooth transition.

The Search Committee will be responsible for reviewing the 11 applications that were submitted by the deadline for the position and recommend those who they feel the Council should interview.  The Council will subsequently interview those they agree meet the qualifications they have specified and identify the candidate who they believe is most qualified and will best serve the community. 

Council Chair Helen Riehle will represent the Council on the Search Committee and she will be joined by residents Peter Taylor, Katie Langrock, Diane Bugbee, Bob Britt, Linda McGinnis, and Bernie Gagnon as well as City Clerk Donna Kinville and Director of Planning and Zoning Paul Conner.
