Mobile Hotspot Library Announcement

Mobile Hotspot Library Announcement

Thanks to the generosity of the T-Mobile Corporation, the South Burlington Public Library is launching a pilot mobile hotspot lending program. This lending initiative extends Internet connectivity beyond the library walls. The South Burlington Library is dedicated to providing access to the digital world, to ensure that everyone in the community can take advantage of the resources and services available on the Internet.

A mobile hotspot is portable, which makes it quick and convenient to access the Internet anytime, anywhere the T-Mobile wireless network is available. This includes South Burlington.

Currently, the Library offers ten hotspots for patron use (limit one per family). There are no fees for the device or service. With a library card in good standing, borrowing one is easy. You can place one on hold online using your library account, or you can call 802-846-4140 or email sbplinfo@southburlingtonlibraryvt.gov to request one. You can also inquire in person at the Library’s Circulation Desk once the library is open.

The device is intended for a three-week loan period, with no renewals.
