Weed Warriors Kicks Off Earth Day!

The City celebrated Earth Day by kicking off the Weed Warrior season at the Underwood parcel.  The event was held on April 24^th.  It was wonderful to get our passionate Weed Warriors back in action after a year off, and they were able make significant progress in removing non-native invasive plants at Underwood.  During the event, participants were trained by Mike Bald, owner of Got Weeds?, to properly identify and remove invasive plants.  During the pandemic, we had some previously trained Weed Warriors continue their work at many parks throughout the City.
