SB Fire Department Celebrates Jason Cummings Retirement

SB Fire Department Celebrates Jason Cummings Retirement

On June 4, 2021 SBFD celebrates SFF/AEMT Jason Cumming's retirement after 23 years of service to our community.
Jason started his career in South Burlington as a Police Officer on February 19, 1998.  Four years later, after cross- training to attain his firefighter and EMT certifications, he laterally transferred to SBFD in 2002. Jason has responded to more than 10,000 emergency calls in his years in the fire service. Congratulations Jason on a job well done. You have made a difference in many of our community members lives and well-being. We happily return you to your wife Tracy, and your two sons, a little grayer and a bit worn, for your next great adventure together. Thank you to Jason’s family for their service, and their willingness to sacrifice holiday’s, weekends, birthdays and anniversaries, so Jason could do what he loved doing.
