As has been the tradition since receiving the 9/11 Remembrance “Freedom Flag”, SBFD newest members retired the flag flown at Fire Station #1 from public display. Nationally flags will be flown at half-staff this Saturday October 3rd in honor of National Fallen Firefighter Memorial Day. 59 career firefighters have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic
