Donna Kinville Awarded VT Town Clerk of the Year

At the 85th Vermont Municipal Clerks’ and Treasurers’ Associations annual meeting, Donna Kinville was awarded the honor of being Vermont’s Town Clerk of the Year.  In order to be name Clerk of the Year you must be nominated by either a fellow clerk or a member of the select board/city council.  The requirements must be fully met in order to be nominated which include that the nominee must hold at least a Certified Vermont Clerk designation issued by the VMCTA, must have demonstrated within the past year a desire to continue their education, be recognized as one who displays characteristics of integrity and leadership and has received the respect and confidence of their peers.

As one recommendation letter read “ I have always looked up to her for her professionalism and thoughtful ways of addressing issues.  She clearly shows respect and concern for the people in her community.  Donna recognizes that people come from different backgrounds and abilities, and she advocates for those who need a little extra help by speaking up for them.  The enthusiasm she exhibits for her job is contagious, and she inspires me to do my job better.
