So go the lyrics of an old song from the 1970’s, but did you know that in South Burlington you need a permit to erect a sign? It’s true and there are two types of permits, one for signs that will be up year-round and another for temporary banners and A-frames.
The year-round signs require a Permanent Sign Permit and the fee is $55 per sign. A Temporary Sign Permit is required for banners and A-Frames and the fee is $5 per permit. There are also rules about size and types of signs.
