Work is well underway in preparing the City’s first-ever Climate Action Plan (CAP). The CAP will be the City’s roadmap for meeting the ambitious goals set by the Paris Accord and Vermont’s adopted climate targets. A 9-person Task Force is leading the effort and is working its way through a very first round of paths and potential actions to meet these goals. The plan will divide work into several different “sectors”, starting with building/thermal, followed by transportation/land use, government operations, adaptation/resilience, and renewable energy.
