On Saturday, May 28, The Sky Blue Boys closed out the Friends of the Library Spring Concert Series with a rousing performance of bluegrass, old-time, and traditional songs. Brothers Dan and Willy Lindner, who also founded the celebrated band Banjo Dan and the Mid-nite Plowboys, entertained 55 attendees with their expert musicianship and captivating storytelling. Though the Spring Concert series is over, the library has a free summer concert, generously sponsored by Mascoma Bank, coming up on June 30 at 6 pm. Mikahely, a singer-songwriter who moved to Vermont from Madagascar, will play his original songs influenced by traditional Malagasy sounds. After that, the community can look forward to attending the 2022-23 Friends of the Library Winter Concert Series.
