In The Garden Now Showing In The Public Gallery

For the remainder of July and August, you can catch the “In the Garden” a multi-artist show in the Gallery at 180 Market Street – the public art gallery in the South Burlington Public Library and City Hall.  Featuring five Vermont artists, the works revel in the summer garden and nature in a wide variety of mediums.  Gregg Blasdel uses botanical objects in his aquatint etching prints.  Sara Katz’s paintings are new works influenced by her background and interests in agriculture, her heritage, and the natural world.  Kim Bombard paints flowers as the perfect symbols for life, death, love and beauty.  Dianne Shullenberger uses hundreds of pieces of fabric and fiber scraps to convey the random beauty and mystery of nature.  Kate Longmaid has shared her still life all prima (wet on wet) paintings that capture the immediacy, freshness, and depth of flowers.  Come explore the garden with us!  The Public Gallery is open at 180 Market Street, South Burlington when the main lobby is open:  M-Th 8AM-7PM, F 8AM-5PM, Sat 10AM-2PM.
