Erica Quallen Publishes Article on Sustainable Transportation

The City of South Burlington's Public Works Deputy Director of Capital Projects Erica Quallen, Publishes Article on Sustainable Transportation

Comparing Travel Behavior and Opportunities to Increase Transportation Sustainability in Small Cities, Towns, and Rural Communities is a recently published article in the National Academies Transportation Research Record after being presented at the 2022 Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting by lead author and now South Burlington employee Erica Quallen. This paper explores Vermonters’ attitudes around sustainable transportation in the state, their communities, and in their own lives. The work was done through UVM’s Transportation Research Center and adds to the (currently very small) body of literature on rural travel behavior. The following link will give you access to the abstract and if you’re so inclined, the article can be purchased.
