Champlain Water District

The Champlain Water District is a nationally recognized leader for excellence in drinking water treatment. Their Board of Water Commissioners and staff strive to maintain a proactive approach to management of the District's facilities, process, and infrastructure. This philosophy is borne out by a continuous, documented high level of achievement and water treatment process optimization to further protect public health.

Chittenden Solid Waste District

The Chittenden Solid Waste District manages solid waste for County including recycling, composting, hazardous materials, and other solid waste programs.

Winooski Valley Park District

The Winooski Valley Park District's mission is to plan, acquire, and manage lands and waters within the boundaries of its member municipalities in the Winooski River Valley for purposes of conservation, preservation of natural areas, establishment of parks, and resource-based education and recreation.  Click here for more information.

Vermont Veterans' Home

The Vermont Veterans' Home is a residential facility for Vermont Veterans, or Veterans in the surrounding tri-state area that offers programs and provides care for service men and women and their spouses.  Vermont Veterans' Home also offers important information for children who may be required to coordinate the future care of an aging parent who was in the military or for their spouse.  Click here to visit their website and read more about them.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families, (SSVF) at UVM is a housing first program that provides a number of services to veterans and their families such as housing navigation, case management, temporary financial assistance, resource and referral, budgeting, employment support, assistance with applying for health insurance, state benefits including help with a child care subsidy and 3Squares, landlord liaising, VA benefit connections and SOAR Services (SSI/SSDI process) to those who are literally homeless or are at risk of losing housing.  You can gather more information about this program and even make an online referral by visiting their website at www.ssvf-uvm.com
