UVM Spring 2019

Spring 2019 - Project: Envisioning and Informing the Muddy Brook Watershed Regional Conservation Partnership

A group of students were asked to help the partnership in its early stages by potentially gathering information related to stakeholder conservation priorities, increasing regular communication about conservation, and helping the partnership solidify its vision of the RCP.  At the end of the project, the students narrowed the focus of their project down to identifying shared conservation commonalities between the partners.  They defined conservation commonalities as where three or more towns involved mentioned one of the priorities in their plans.  They read through each Town plan and created an outline of shared conservation goals.  The students also highlighted potential next steps that the CVCP could take to further its conservation goals, as well initial identification of conservation opportunities they identified through their project.  You can read their full project report here.
