The City Council will be holding a public hearing on Monday October 4th to consider two changes to the City’s Official Map. The first would replace a planned roadway connection between Swift Street Extension and Hinesburg Road with planned recreation paths. The second would eliminate a planned roadway connection between IDX Drive and Deerfield Ave.
Following the public hearing, the Council may take action an adopt the proposed amendments. The amendments were prepared and presented to the Council by the Planning Commission following a public hearing of their own earlier this summer.
The Official Map is a regulatory document that accompanies the City’s Land Development Regulations. It identifies the locations of planned public infrastructure which is to be accommodated in the review of applications for development on properties.
