"Make It Safe Initiative"

"Make It Safe Initiative" is a pledge by First Responder Leadership to publicly commit to fostering a safe environment for their members to seek psychological support and help. The Initiative outlines twelve critical steps agencies can take in to ensure they are doing all they can to promote mental health and wellness and diminish the stigma around seeking out mental health assistance.

South Burlington Fire Department is announcing a collaborative Labor/Management initiative to prioritize mental health for its' first responders and ensure resources are available for the Fire Fighters, EMT's & Paramedics.
